Alanya Aquarium & Alexander Waterfall Tour
Hey, we're taking a day trip to the Antalya Aquarium and Old Town from Alanya. The aquarium is pretty famous, even outside of the country, so we'd love for you to join us. It's going to be an awesome day full of great memories.
Calendar & Price
The road between Alanya and Antalya is pretty easy to get on and off. It's about 130 kilometers, or about two hours, by bus. The buses are comfortable, so you can relax or look at the views outside the window. The roads in Turkey are really pretty.
What you'll see
We'll pick you up from your hotel at the arranged time and head out. The aquarium is in the new part of the city, and you'll see it from a mile away. It was built about ten years ago, and the first thing you'll notice is the aquarium's unique architecture. It's shaped like a wave, and right in front of it is a huge fountain depicting a whale. It's one of the largest tunnel aquariums, with a capacity of over five million liters of water. The tunnel is about 130 meters long, and it's absolutely amazing. You'll see sharks, fish, and stingrays swimming above your head, and it's hard to not be amazed by such a sight. The aquarium's decorations are pretty interesting too. For example, there's a sunken airplane that's exactly like the real downed warplane from World War II. That plane fell into the Mediterranean Sea near Kaş, a Turkish city. You'll also see a sunken pirate ship, antique amphorae, and other cool stuff. So, you'll get to see not only plants and animals, but also a bit of history. The aquarium itself is home to dozens of species of fish, organized by their natural habitats. Near each aquarium, you'll find information in various languages, including English, about the fish that live there.
Other entertainment
The most unusual entertainment is a visit to the snow city, where there are all kinds of slides and houses made of artificial snow. You can even play snowballs here, no matter what the weather is like outside. There's also a terrarium with all kinds of reptiles, including snakes, geckos, and other cool creatures. If you're not afraid of them, you'll love it. They use special sound effects in the terrarium to make it feel like you're in the middle of the rainforest. And at the oceanarium, you can catch a 3D movie about an underwater journey.

5I’ve never seen such a huge aquarium before! It was so interesting. Even though the drive was long, I highly recommend visiting the aquarium in Antalya if you’re vacationing in Alanya.
