What you will see on Pamukkale Tour from Side
- Travertines
- Ancient Pool
- Ancient Theatre
- Salda Lake
White terraces of Pamukkale are an incredible natural wonder that you'll find in every single Turkish tourism brochure. These amazing pools were formed over tens of millennia by calcium-enriched thermal water flowing down the mountainside, creating some truly unique shapes. Nowadays, you can even walk barefoot on the terraces and bathe in some of the pools.
The incredible Antique Pool, also known as Cleopatra's Pool, is the beating heart of Pamukkale. It is located right in the middle of the ancient city of Hierapolis, on the site of one of the ancient temples! And here, the thermal water is pressurised to the surface of the earth! An incredible 120 litres of water per second fills the pool, with the same amount flowing through narrow underground channels to the stunning White Terraces. Even in winter, the water temperature in Cleopatra's Pool remains a toasty 36 degrees, making it the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing swim and fully experience the healing properties of the water. And that's not all! You'll also find showers, toilets, changing cabins and a cafeteria here, making it a complete one-stop destination for relaxation and rejuvenation.
One of the most fascinating sights in Pamukkale is the Ancient Theatre. It was constructed at the start of the second century AD and, despite the frequent earthquakes, it has stood the test of time.
This gorgeous lake with its white pebble beaches is on the route from Side to Pamukkale. It's well worth stopping by to see this unique place and take some great photos.

4Trip to Pamukkale is really interesting, but it’s quite a long drive from Side. We spent almost 12 hours on the road. Tour was well-organised and guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. Pamukkale was also fascinating – a truly one-of-a-kind place! Food could be better …
