Side Cappadocia Tour (Two Days)
Fancy being in a fairy tale? Then check out our two days Side Cappadocia Tour. This mysterious and magical place will blow you away at first sight with its extraordinary panoramic views, caves, cliff houses, mountain ranges and hot air balloons at sunrise.
Calendar & Price
Cappadocia is a unique place to visit in Turkey, very different from your typical coastal resort. The landscape here is something of a mystery, with the unusual features being the result of natural processes over many centuries. Flowing water, wind and temperature changes have broken down the volcanic rock, creating stone pillars of all sizes and shapes, as well as hill valleys and gorges. During the early Christian era, cave monasteries and underground cities were established in Cappadocia. You can find them in the Goreme National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
What you will see on Side Cappadocia Tour
A trip from Side to Cappadocia will give you a taste of 'Inner Turkey'. You'll get to learn about the history of early Christianity, see the first churches and early icons, and visit several valleys with bizarre stone formations in the form of pipes. You'll also get to see an underground city where people lived 1500 thousand years ago.
We've got a great two-day tour programme lined up for you, with visits to the underground city of Saratli (which has loads of rooms and levels), the cave church of St John the Baptist in the village of Chavushin, the open-air museum of Goreme (where you'll see frescoes in rock churches), and the fortress of Uchhisar. Then there's the Monks' Valley (Pashabag) with its amazing chimneys, the Dervent Valley and its bizarre rocks, the Melendiz River in the Ihlara Valley, the Kizilirmak River (or 'Red River') and Avanos City of Potters, the amazing Dove Valley and the popular Love Valley. You'll get a quick tour of the pottery centre, carpet factory and onyx workshop, as well as the ancient Caravan Saray.
- Underground City of Saratli
There are loads of underground cities in Cappadocia, which were dug up in the last century and are now a tourist hotspot and a real draw for scientists. The seven or eight underground floors were specially designed to let the people who lived there survive the winter or to hide out during enemy raids. Here you can see residential complexes, kitchens, hangars, churches and much more.
- Uchisar Fortress
Uchhisar Fortress is the symbol of Cappadocia. You can enjoy a breathtaking view of the village of Goreme and the surrounding valleys from here.
- Valleys of Cappadocia
Cappadocia has many valleys with different rock formations. Each one is different either in figures or colours or legends... It is a favourite place for tourists who like to take beautiful photographs.
- Cappadocia Villages
There are loads of small villages in Cappadocia, like Muratpaşa, Goreme and Avanos. Each of these villages has a really interesting history, local traditions and various handicrafts.

Frequently ask Question
How much does a balloon flight cost?
Prices for hot air ballooning in Cappadocia are always changing. There's no fixed price, it depends on how many people want to go and how many seats are left. It's usually between 100 and 250 euros, but you can ask your guide on the day to find out the exact cost of the flight.
Can I book a balloon flight in advance?
Unfortunately, we can't offer this option because we don't know the cost of the flight for a particular day or whether it will take place. Also, just to let you know, the agency doesn't accept guests who have booked a flight in advance with other agencies to join the excursion.
Is there any entertainment in the evening?
Yes, you can attend the Turkish Night show or the Whirling Dervishes show for an additional fee. Please ask your guide for the actual cost of these events.
Can I watch hot air balloons without actually flying in one?
Yes, you'll need to buy the morning Balloon Show tour from your guide.
Is it possible to choose a hotel?
We offer two types of accommodation. One in a 3* hotel and the other in a cave hotel. During the booking process you can choose one of these options.

4We didn’t get to see all the sights in Cappadocia because of the weather, but we’re planning to go back next year to make up for it.

5We had plenty of time to choose an agency in Side to book a trip to Cappadocia, and we ended up choosing this website because the description was really good and accurate. The price was one of the lowest we could find, too. The excursion was excellent! The guide told a lot of interesting stories, and the one-night hotel was decent enough. We didn’t order meals – we bought different snacks and drinks at the stops. Overall, everything was very pleasant! We’d definitely recommend it!

4It’s quite a long trip. We travelled about 1300 km by bus, but it was worth it! Next time, we want to go to Cappadocia on our own for a week to see all the sights!
