- Transfer from Hotel
Our tour to Demre from Side starts early in the morning. At the arranged time, a comfy bus will pick you up from your hotel and you'll travel along the Mediterranean Sea to the modern city of Demre. On the way there, we'll stop at a cafeteria for hot drinks and breakfast. Breakfast can be ordered at your hotel the evening before departure.
- Myra Ancient City
When you get to Demre, you'll be able to take a tour of the ancient city of Myra, where our guides will tell you all sorts of interesting facts about the city's past. You'll get to see the ruins of the ancient theatre, Roman baths, agora and several temples. If you want to visit the Church of St Nicholas, where it is believed he preached and was buried, you can pay a bit more to go there too. It's a popular pilgrimage site for many Christians.
- Lunch
Once you've had a wander around the ruins of the ancient city, you'll get to one of the national restaurants where lunch is being served. This is all part of the tour price, so you'll get cold national snacks and hot dishes. You can get drinks from the waiters, but you'll have to pay extra for them.
- Kekova Boat Trip
Next up, we're off on a super interesting boat trip to the island of Kekova, where you can check out the sunken ancient city. The ruins of this city are at a depth of 2-3 metres and you can see them really clearly through the clear sea water. There'll also be a stop for a swim.
- Return to Side
Back at the pier, you will transfer to our comfortable buses, which will take you back to the hotels of Side in 3 hours by 20:00.

4I had a great time on the Kekova boat trip! The places were stunning. We didn’t make it to the ancient city because it was boiling, but I reckon it’s better to swim in the sea than visit the ruins in summer.
