If you're thinking of going to Istanbul from Side, you're in for a treat! Not only is it a great way to get to know the historical and cultural heritage of Turkey, but the whole world's there for the taking. This interesting journey to the former capital of the country will take you into the diversity of art and architecture from different times and peoples.
Istanbul is the largest city in the world, stretching across the Bosphorus Strait between Europe and Asia. It used to be the capital of several empires, so it's got a lot of history and culture. The mosques and temples are amazing, and the mix of cultures, styles, food and traditions is really interesting to see.
The excursion is a one-day tour, but we've made the most of it by including all the main sights, like Hagia Sophia Church, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the Egyptian Market. If you're up for it, you can also join a cruise along the Bosphorus for an extra fee, or you could spend the time shopping for souvenirs and visiting shops.

- Transfer to Antalya Airprot
The tour to Istanbul from Side starts super early, at around 03:00. Our minibus will be waiting for you near the hotel and will take you to Antalya Airport in about an hour and a half. You'll be able to check in for your flight from Antalya to Istanbul at around 06:00, and the plane is scheduled to leave at 08:00.
- Meet your tour guide
When you get to Istanbul around 10:00, one of our team will be there to greet you at the airport exit. They'll then take you to the bus where you'll find out all about the tour and what we've got planned for you.
- Istanbul city tour
Our sightseeing tour will kick off with a visit to a few spots around the city that offer stunning views for some great photos. On the bus, our guide will fill you in on the city's history, traditions and culture.
- Sultanahmet walking tour
You'll get to the heart of the Sultanahmet district, where most of the tour will happen. Your guides will take you to St Sophia Cathedral, show you the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome, and then you'll visit Topkapi Palace. These are the most popular and interesting sights in Istanbul, and entrance tickets to these places are included in the price of the tour. If you'd like to visit the Harem in Topkapi Palace, there'll be an extra entrance fee.
- Lunch
After a great tour of Istanbul, we're going to have lunch at one of the national restaurants. You'll get hot dishes and cold national snacks there. Lunch is included in the tour price, but you can order drinks from the waiters for an extra charge.
- Bosphorus & Egyptian Spice Bazaar
After lunch, you can take a boat trip on the Bosphorus for an extra fee or spend your free time shopping for souvenirs at the Egyptian Spice Bazaar.
- Return to Side
After an interesting and fascinating sightseeing tour of Istanbul, we will return to Istanbul Airport. At 22:00 we fly back to Antalya Airport where you will be met by our comfortable minibuses and transferred back to Side Hotels for the night.
