Calendar & Price
Pamukkale is a natural masterpiece sculpted over centuries by the elements. At first glance, it resembles a snow-dusted mountain slope dotted with shimmering blue pools—a fairytale scene that captivates every visitor. But there’s science behind the magic: these are thermal springs rich with healing minerals, while the "snow" is actually layers of calcium carbonate formed by evaporating water. 5Cudowna wycieczka! Pamukkale w październiku to idealny czas — przyjemna temperatura, znacznie mniej turystów niż latem.

Roberto Conti
5Visita indimenticabile! Pamukkale in ottobre è ideale — caldo piacevole, pochi turisti rispetto all’estate.
Ryan Connolly
5Brilliant day out! October is the perfect time to visit Pamukkale from Fethiye — the 4.5-hour journey feels worthwhile when you arrive to cooler temperatures and smaller crowds. The terraces are absolutely extraordinary — pure white calcium formations cascading down the hillside. Hierapolis is vast and impressive. The Cleopatra Pool with its submerged Roman columns was a memorable highlight. One of Turkey’s unmissable sights.
Jean-Luc Moreau
5Excursion extraordinaire!

Daniel O'Brien
5Went in late September and the timing was perfect — comfortable temperature, manageable crowds. Pamukkale’s white terraces are genuinely one of the most remarkable natural phenomena I’ve ever seen. Hierapolis is vast and impressive — the ancient theatre alone is worth the journey. Cleopatra’s Pool is a lovely bonus. The 4.5-hour drive from Fethiye is long but the guide made it interesting. Highly recommend in the shoulder season.
Thomas Becker
Hierapolis is indrukwekkend.
Lucy Pemberton
4Pamukkale is genuinely one of the most visually stunning places I’ve ever visited — the white terraces are extraordinary and Hierapolis is a proper ancient city worth exploring. However visiting in August was tough — the heat on the terraces was intense and the crowds were substantial. The 4.5-hour journey from Fethiye is genuinely tiring. Worth it for the experience but I’d recommend going in spring or autumn.
Mark Henderson
3Pamukkale is extraordinary — the white terraces are genuinely unlike anything else you’ll see. But August was the wrong time to visit. Temperatures above 40 degrees, very little shade on the terraces and huge crowds made it quite unpleasant at times. The return journey of 4.5 hours from Fethiye makes for a very long and tiring day. The site itself deserves five stars but the summer experience knocks it down considerably.
Tom Gallagher
3Pamukkale is undeniably impressive — the white terraces are genuinely one of nature’s great spectacles. But visiting in July was a mistake. The heat was brutal — easily 40 degrees on the terraces with no shade. The crowds were overwhelming, particularly around the main pool areas. The 4.5-hour drive each way from Fethiye makes for an exhausting day. Gorgeous place, wrong time of year for us.
I turisti erano ovunque.
Olivia Spencer
3Pamukkale is breathtakingly beautiful — there’s no question about that. But our June visit was genuinely challenging. The heat on the terraces was extreme — no shade, burning white stone under your feet and in your eyes. The tourist numbers were overwhelming. And after 4.5 hours on a coach from Fethiye you arrive already tired. Beautiful place but I’d strongly advise against visiting in summer.
Piotr Kowalski
Sarah Mitchell
4Really impressive place but be warned about the journey — 4.5 hours each way is a very long day. Pamukkale itself is stunning — the terraces are unlike anything I’ve seen before. Hierapolis ruins are extensive and the ancient theatre is superb. Went in late May and it was already getting hot and quite crowded. The time at the site felt a bit rushed given how far you’ve travelled. Still, a bucket list destination.
Marco Rossi
5Esperienza straordinaria!
Emma Clarke
5Absolutely worth the long journey! Yes, it’s 4.5 hours each way but Pamukkale is genuinely one of the most extraordinary places I’ve ever seen. The white travertine terraces are unlike anything else on earth. We went in April so the weather was perfect — not too hot, manageable crowds. Hierapolis ruins are extensive and fascinating. Cleopatra’s Pool was a highlight. Go in spring if you can.
Fiona MacLeod
5Absolutely stunning! We visited in early April and the conditions were ideal — mild weather, very few tourists and the terraces completely to ourselves in the morning. Pamukkale is one of those rare places that actually lives up to its reputation. Hierapolis is fascinating — the necropolis, the theatre, the ancient colonnaded street. The 4.5-hour journey from Fethiye is manageable with a good guide. Go in spring!
Ksenia
5We chose a trip to Pamukkale because we’d been longing to see this place for the longest time! We were picked up right on time, the journey was really comfortable, and our guide was so knowledgeable and told us all about the ancient city and the travertines. We strolled around the snow-white bowls, swam in Cleopatra’s pool, and even had time to look at the ruins of Hierapolis. It was such a great tour – I’d highly recommend it!
