The Underground City of Saratli
Beneath the surface of Cappadocia lies a world that most visitors never imagine exists. Early Christian communities carved entire cities into the volcanic rock to shelter from raids — and the ancient underground city of Saratli is one of the most remarkable of them all. Here you will explore not only the underground dwellings but also a 13th century Byzantine fortress, the Hagios Georgios church, the mosque of Ibrahim Pasha, the ancient Roman city of Çam Külesi, the Church of the Virgin Mary and a Roman hamam. Along the way your guide will stop for photographs with views of the volcanic Mount Hasan rising to 3268 metres on the horizon.
The Valleys of Cappadocia
No two valleys in Cappadocia look the same. The Dervent Valley offers sweeping views from a high viewpoint over formations that look like animals frozen in stone. Fantasy Valley invites you to walk among the fairy chimneys up close. Love Valley is famous for its extraordinary rock columns rising from the valley floor. Pigeon Valley on the second day offers yet another perspective on this endlessly varied landscape. Each stop is different, each one is photogenic and your guide will lead you through them with the stories and history that bring this ancient place to life.
Göreme, Çavuşin and Ortahisar
The ancient rock city of Çavuşin with its Church of John the Baptist, the ancient city of Göreme with its Hidden Garden, and the remarkable Ortahisar — the Middle Fortress — are three of the most atmospheric stops on the tour. Lunch on the first day is served in Ortahisar with views of the volcanic Mount Erciyes. In the evening an optional sunset in the Red Valley National Park offers one of the most spectacular natural light shows in Turkey.

Overnight Stay
The tour includes one night in a hotel in the Cappadocia region. Our agency works with several hotels and the exact hotel is confirmed on the day of departure. Options include standard hotels in Avanos as well as cave hotels in Mustafapaşa and Ürgüp — sleeping in rooms carved directly into the volcanic rock is an experience in itself. Dinner is included on the first evening as an open buffet. Breakfast is included on the second morning.
Hot Air Balloons
Cappadocia is world-famous for its hot air balloon flights at sunrise — one of the most iconic travel experiences on earth. The flight lasts one hour and must be booked in advance through your guide as places are strictly limited, especially in high season. The price is confirmed on the day of the flight and varies between approximately €200 and €450. Those who prefer not to fly can watch the balloons rising over the valleys at dawn — a spectacular sight in itself. An optional jeep safari photo session at sunrise is also available.

Departure from your hotel at 02:00. The coach meets the guide in the Manavgat region. A breakfast stop in the Lycian Taurus Mountains at 1825 metres above sea level — not included in the price. The journey continues through Konya, Aksaray and Nevşehir towards Cappadocia.

The 03:10 departure is brutal and the total bus journey is very long. The pace at the sites is rushed. 3A good tour overall but I have to be honest about the downsides. The departure at 03:10 in the morning means you spend most of the first day exhausted. The drive is very long — around 10 hours of bus time over two days. The sites themselves are genuinely impressive but the pace is quite rushed and you don’t get as much time as you would like at each stop. The cave hotel was a highlight. Worth doing but be prepared.

4A wonderful two-day experience. Cappadocia is genuinely unlike anywhere else — the underground city was fascinating, the valleys were extraordinary and the cave hotel was a highlight in itself. I chose not to do the balloon flight but watching them rise at sunrise was still a beautiful sight. The early departure at 03:10 is tough but once you arrive the tiredness disappears completely. 2La Cappadoce est magnifique mais cette excursion m’a déçue. Le départ à 03h10 et les longs trajets en bus étaient très fatigants. Le rythme était trop soutenu — pas assez de temps dans chaque lieu. Le déjeuner n’était pas inclus dans le prix ce qui m’a surprise. L’hôtel troglodyte était bien mais trop court. Je pense qu’il vaut mieux aller en Cappadoce de façon indépendante.

3Kapadocja jest piękna ale wycieczka jest bardzo wyczerpująca. Wyjazd o 03:10 w nocy jest bardzo trudny a łączny czas jazdy autobusem wynosi około 10 godzin. Miejsca są imponujące ale tempo jest dość szybkie i nie ma wystarczająco dużo czasu w każdym miejscu. Jaskiniowy hotel był przyjemny. Przewodnik był dobry. Warto zrobić raz ale trzeba się nastawić na bardzo długi wyjazd.

4Kappadokien ist wirklich beeindruckend! Die unterirdische Stadt, die fantastischen Täler und das Höhlenhotel waren alle hervorragend. Der Ballonflug bei Sonnenaufgang war das absolute Highlight — einfach wunderschön. Die sehr frühe Abfahrtszeit von 03:10 Uhr ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber die Eindrücke sind es mehr als wert. Unser Reiseführer war kompetent und freundlich. Empfehlenswert!

5Absolutnie fantastyczna wycieczka! Kapadocja to jedno z tych miejsc które zmienia twój sposób patrzenia na świat. Podziemne miasto Saratli było niesamowite. Doliny z bajkowymi kominami były przepiękne. Lot balonem o świcie był najpiękniejszym przeżyciem w moim życiu. Nocleg w jaskiniowym hotelu był wyjątkowy. Przewodnik był doskonały. 5En absolut fantastisk tvådagarsresa till Kappadokien! Den underjordiska staden Saratli var extraordinär — tunnlar och rum uthuggna i klippan för hand av tidiga kristna. Dalarna var otroliga — Dervent, Fantasy, Love — var och en annorlunda och mer spektakulär. Ballongflygningen vid gryningen var en av de vackraste upplevelserna i mitt liv. Varmt rekommenderas!

5Deux jours absolument inoubliables en Cappadoce! La ville souterraine de Saratli était fascinante — des tunnels et des salles creusés à la main dans la roche volcanique. 5I booked the balloon flight and it was worth every single cent. Rising over Cappadocia at sunrise in a hot air balloon is something that photographs simply cannot capture — you have to be there. The rest of the tour was equally wonderful. The underground city, the valleys, the cave hotel — all of it was extraordinary. Our guide was brilliant throughout.

3La Cappadoce est un endroit magnifique mais ce circuit est vraiment épuisant. Le départ à 03h10 du matin est très difficile et le trajet en bus est très long — environ 10 heures au total sur deux jours. Les sites sont impressionnants mais le rythme est assez soutenu et on manque de temps dans certains endroits. L’hôtel troglodyte était bien. Le guide était compétent.

4A really special two days. Cappadocia is extraordinary — the underground city, the valleys, the fairy chimneys, the cave hotel. The balloon flight was magical. The guide was excellent throughout. My only comment is that the very early departure — 03:10 in the morning — makes the first part of the journey quite tiring, especially the long drive. But once you arrive and start exploring it is absolutely worth it.
