Suluada is unlike any other island on the Turkish Riviera. Formed by ancient volcanic activity, it rises dramatically from the sea with rocky cliffs giving way to stretches of white pebble beach and shallow turquoise bays. The water here has a colour and clarity that simply has to be seen to be believed — you can watch fish dart between the rocks ten metres below the surface as if looking through glass. The island is protected by Turkish authorities, which means no hotels, no restaurants, no development of any kind. What you find here is pure, untouched nature at its most breathtaking.
A Day on the Water
Your adventure begins with a comfortable hotel pickup from Kemer. A short drive brings you to the harbour at Adrasan, where your traditional Turkish boat is waiting. Once on board, settle into the sun deck or find a shaded spot as the boat sets off through the calm blue waters of the Mediterranean. Keep your eyes on the water — Caretta Caretta sea turtles often follow the boats, and dolphin sightings on the way to the island are far from unusual.
Swimming Stops and Secluded Bays
The day includes several swimming stops at different bays around the island, each with its own character and colour. The first stop on the southern side of Suluada offers around ninety minutes in the water — perfect for snorkelling among the rocks where the marine life is abundant. The second stop takes you to the famous Maldivian Bay on the northern side, where the shallow water glows in shades of turquoise and aquamarine that seem almost artificial. A final stop at the sheltered Akseki Bay rounds off the swimming before the boat heads back to Adrasan.
Lunch on Board
After your morning swim, the smell of the barbecue drifting across the deck is hard to resist. A freshly grilled lunch is served on board between swimming stops — a proper meal prepared on the boat rather than a packaged affair. There is nothing quite like eating with an appetite earned in the sea, with the island as your backdrop and the water still warm on your skin.

Your driver will pick you up from your Kemer hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. It's a scenic 40-minute drive south along the coast to the harbour at Adrasan. Sit back and enjoy the views of the Taurus Mountains meeting the Mediterranean as you make your way to the starting point of your adventure.
- Adrasan Harbour
At around 10:00 you will arrive at the charming harbour of Adrasan, where your traditional Turkish boat is waiting at the pier. Get on board, claim your spot on the sun deck or in the shade, and prepare yourself for a day unlike any other on the Turkish coast.
- Suluada Island | First Swimming Stop
As the boat reaches the southern side of Suluada, you will understand immediately why this island is called the Turkish Maldives. Drop anchor and spend around 90 minutes swimming and snorkelling in crystal-clear water above volcanic rock formations. The marine life here is extraordinary — colourful fish, sea urchins and if you are lucky, a Caretta Caretta sea turtle gliding beneath you.
- Lunch on Board
Back on deck, a freshly prepared barbecue lunch is served — grilled meat, salads and fresh bread made on board. After a morning in the sea there is nothing quite like eating with an appetite earned in the water, with Suluada still visible on the horizon.
- Maldivian Bay
After lunch the boat moves to the northern side of the island and the famous Maldivian Bay — the most photographed spot on Suluada. The water here is so shallow and so brilliantly turquoise that it genuinely looks tropical. Spend another hour swimming and floating in one of the most beautiful bays on the entire Mediterranean coast.
- Akseki Bay
The final swimming stop of the day is the sheltered Akseki Bay — a quieter, more secluded cove perfect for a last peaceful swim before heading back. The water is calm, the surroundings are stunning and the mood on board is exactly what a perfect day at sea should feel like.
- Return to Kemer
The boat returns to Adrasan harbour in the late afternoon. Your transfer is waiting to take you back to your hotel, arriving in time for dinner with a full day of sun, sea and memories behind you.

Absolutely! The ship has amazing canopies on the upper deck and cool shaded tables on the lower deck. Either way, you'll be able to take shelter from the scorching rays of the sun.
